Today’s featured artist is the talented (and trippy) M.C. Escher. I just picked up a book from him. It comes with a flap that you put your face up to and look at his drawings. It is not the typical 3-D glasses (red/blue) but rather, clear glasses that force the images from the page. My favorite is a Lithograph from 1955: Three Worlds… It injected me with a whole new way of viewing the world. Anyone and everyone who is looking for a new view of the world needs to understand whom M.C. Escher is and allow him to take them into a new world.

Today, my favorite video came from Chris. He had a video that was FUN to watch. I didn't mind that it was long because I didn't want the fun to end.
Sarah had a great look to her video when she framed the video in the stage.
This project was difficult, but fun. All the programs we need to understand just to post a video--WOW. I am slowly grasping all the programs, but I'm getting there!!

The controversy

So as I dig, I discover Lonely Girl 15. She is an actress from New Zealand. Her name is Jessica Rose. I watched her interview on the Early Show on CBS. YouTube.com had it posted. The plot seems to be Brie, a 16 year old homeschooled teen by her religious parents. The video logs posted on YouTube.com are created by Tamesh Flinders-screenwriter/filmmaker and Miles Beckett-filmmaker. The flurry of controversy was over if the character, Brie, was an actress or not. She is and was found out by fans from her myspace page. The creators of the vlogs disclosed the identity of Brie to YouTube.com and now, she is on early morning news. I don't think anyone will care if she is an actress or not. Good writing makes a good show. People will tune in if they are entertained.

I loved the activity today!! I love anything where we are free to go outside of the class and produce videos. I had so much fun with my group, too. We made an adventure of our project by just going out on the beat to find a story. Our story became one of the Students of CSUSM and the activities they do on their break. Check it out!!!
